They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but if we all believed this to be true, the fashion industry as we know it would be nearly obsolete. Unlike many things in life such as our unique genetic make up, the country of our birth, or who our parents are, clothing is one of the easiest ways for us to control our image and to show the world who we are. Clothing is to humans as feathers are to birds. But unlike birds, we can choose what’s on our skin and in many ways it’s a way for us to individualize and express who we are to the world.
