Bobby Hebb (July 26, 1938 ‒ August 3, 2010) was an American R&B/soul musician, singer, and songwriter known for his mega-hit song "Sunny". Bobby and his older brother Harold performed together at a young age, and each gained new individual roles through their career. On November 23, 1963, Harold was killed in a knife fight in Nashville. Bobby found solace through songwriting, and wrote his single "Sunny". BMI rated "Sunny" number 25 in its "Top 100 songs of the century".
