The band currently includes singer Oliver Sykes, guitarists Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls, and Jordan Fish on the piano keyboard. The inspiration for the bands name came from the 2003 Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean. They originally started their own label, Thirty Days of Night, to release their debut EP, This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For (2005).
