David Bowie (January 1947--January 2016) was an English singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. In 1969, his popular song "Space Oddity"emerged in the Top 5 Singles Chart in the UK. In the turn of the 70's, Bowie released The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Ziggy Stardust was Bowie's alter ego whom he describes as "less inhibited". If its not apparent yet, David Bowie was a unique fellow. He began his crossover into the U.S with the album Young Americans lead by the song "Fame".Bowie followed with pop songs "Under Pressure" and "Heroes".
