"Cancan" is the name of a French dance in a fast 2/4 rhythm, which arose in Paris in the 1830s. The most famous version of the Can-can was composed by Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880): The "Galop Infernal" is the grand finale of his operetta "Orpheus in the Underworld". A melody which everybody knows - now you can play it, too!
