Omar Samuel Pasley, better known by his stage name Omi, is a Jamaican singer. As a child growing up, he sang at every occasion that provided an audience – the church, school concerts or any other community gathering. "Omi" short for "Omar", is simply the nickname his dad used to call him and is supposed to be pronounced “Oh-mee†(rhymes with “foamyâ€). He is best known for his popular song “Cheerleader†which became a worldwide hit after it was remixed by German DJ Felix Jaehn and released in 2014.
