They signed a record deal with Island Records 4 years later, debuting their album Boy. The band consists of Bono (lead vocalist), Edge (guitar, keyboard piano), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen, Jr. (drums). The band's initial sound was implemented in post-punk but later evolved and embodied influences from other music genres. U2 has received 22 Grammy Awards and were included into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2005.
