Walk the Moon is a rock band that formed in Ohio in 2006. Surprisingly enough, they have not yet been to space. As of 2010, the members are Nicholas Petricca (who started the band and does lead vocals), Kevin Ray (bass), Sean Waugaman (drums), and Eli Maiman (guitar). Their songs, such as "Anna Sun" and "Shut up and Dance" are known to be very dance-friendly. Petricca wants to spread a message through his songs, which are all about “lots of themes of empowerment and just celebrating people’s differences.†Interestingly enough, half of the band is right handed and the other half left handed. Their 2014 single "Shut Up and Dance" is one of their most popular songs.
