"Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is a chorale from Johann Sebastian Bach's church cantata "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" ("Heart and mouth and deed and life", BWV 147), which he composed in 1723. It became also popular as a piano solo piece partly thanks to the arrangements of English pianist Myra Hess.
